UnbitThe drive stopped responding
What it means
The drive stopped responding while it was being read. Check the cable and port, plug the drive in again, and try again.
What to try
- Check the cable and try another USB port, directly on the Mac rather than through a hub.
- Plug the drive in again and choose Refresh Drive List in Unbit.
- If it keeps failing, the drive may be failing. Copy its files on a Windows PC while you still can.
Still stuck?
In Unbit, open the gear menu and choose Copy Error Report, then include it when you ask for help. It contains no passwords, drive names or file paths.
