The BitLocker information looks inconsistent
What it means
The BitLocker information on this drive contradicts itself, for example the copies disagree or a checksum fails. Unbit stopped to be safe and changed nothing. If you didn’t expect this, don’t trust the drive: check it on a Windows PC (chkdsk or repair-bde) and copy your files from there.
What to try
- Plug the drive into a Windows PC and run chkdsk, or repair-bde with the recovery key.
- If Windows is still encrypting or decrypting the drive, let it finish first.
- Don’t format the drive. Copy what you can to another disk first.
Still stuck?
In Unbit, open the gear menu and choose Copy Error Report, then include it when you ask for help. It contains no passwords, drive names or file paths.
